Red light therapy is like a Swiss Army knife for your wellness routine — versatile and always ready to help. But just like with any tool, knowing how to use it properly makes all the difference. Rubie has five power settings, each tailored to specific needs, so you get the most out of every session. Let’s explore these modes and how to use them for optimal results.
mW/cm²: The Energy Measurement of Light
Before we dive into modes, here's a definition of mW/cm². Milliwatt per centimeter squared measures intensity of light. Like the brightness of a light bulb: a higher wattage means more intensity.
Red 660 (44 mW/cm²)
Best For: Energy
Red 660 is like a spa day for skin, providing stimulation to boost collagen and elastin production, which helps keep skin firm and youthful.
How to Use It: 15 - 20 minutes energizes and heals skin surface
Far-Red 850 (147 mW/cm²)
Best For: Recovery
Far-Red 850 is for deeper tissues - help reduce inflammation and alleviate chronic pain.
How to Use It: 15 - 20 minutes releases tension and strengthens recovery
Coupled: Half 660 & Half 850 (76 mW/cm²)
Best For: Balance
The Coupled mode is for full-body treatment and circulation.
How to Use It: 5-10 minutes at the beginning or end of a session increases saturation levels

- As with any light, do not use Rubie on your eyes. For facial treatments, place Rubie onto the focus area before illuminating.
- If you feel heat increase your distance, reduce your intensity, or take a break. Red light therapy should never be uncomfortable, also not suited for every skin.
